Assignments come in over email, the LMS, and direct messages. Permission slips come back as paper, a phone photo, or an attachment buried in a parent's reply. Admissions and scholarship documents arrive in a dozen formats, and accreditation evidence is scattered across departments.
The people sending all of this rarely have a school account, so the default is email. That means files with no consistent names, sitting in an inbox, waiting for someone to download and refile them by hand, multiplied across every class, parent, and applicant a school deals with.
EZ File Drop gives your school one branded upload form, shared by email, embedded on your website, or printed as a QR code on a take-home flyer. Parents, students, and applicants open it with no login, no account, and no app, then submit their files. Everything is delivered into your school's own Microsoft 365 OneDrive or SharePoint library, Google Workspace Drive, or Box, sorted automatically into a folder for each student, class, or program.
Because the files are delivered into the account your school's IT team already manages, student submissions stay in your own environment rather than a third-party tool. And with form scheduling, you can set a form to open when an enrollment window starts and close itself at a deadline, so you're not chasing late uploads or turning forms on and off by hand.
Send one link, or print a QR code on the take-home flyer, and collect signed forms from parents without paper coming back in backpacks.
Give a class one upload link for assignments, a simple option for teachers who don't run everything through an LMS.
Collect transcripts, identification, and supporting documents from prospective students into a folder per applicant.
Gather a multi-step application and its mixed file types in one branded form, organized automatically by applicant.
Collect images and written memories from alumni for school publications and reunions.
Gather documentation from departments across the school into one organized place when a review comes around.
Yes, both. Files are delivered into your school's OneDrive, a SharePoint Online library, or Google Workspace Drive, and Box works the same way. You connect the destination once through your provider's own secure sign-in, and every submission is delivered there automatically. One thing worth knowing before you start: many schools configure Microsoft 365 so that an administrator has to approve third-party apps before anyone can connect them. If your connection is blocked, that is what happened, and it clears as soon as whoever manages your tenant grants consent. SharePoint Online, the version included with Microsoft 365, is what we support; on-premises SharePoint Server is not.
No, never. Anyone with the form link can upload, with no account, no app, and no sign-in of any kind. They open the link, submit their files, and they're done. The cloud connection is the school's alone, and families never touch it.
Yes. Every upload is encrypted in transit with TLS, and files are delivered to a cloud account your school connects through your provider's own OAuth2 sign-in, so we never see or store your password. EZ File Drop is a delivery route rather than a storage service: a file sits in encrypted temporary staging only for as long as the delivery takes, and that copy is removed about an hour after your cloud storage confirms it has the file. Submissions end up in the Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account your school already manages, not in a third-party system. There is more detail on the security page.
5 GB per submission on Starter, and 25 GB per submission on Business and Premium. The cap covers the whole submission rather than each file, so it works out the same whether a student sends one long video or thirty photos of their work. Uploaders see the limit on the form before they start rather than discovering it at the end of a long upload. If a class project needs more than 25 GB at a time, ask and we will raise it: that ceiling is a deliberately conservative default that keeps large uploads finishing reliably on ordinary connections, not a billing limit.
Yes. Build as many forms as you want on every plan, each branded the same and pointed at its own folder, so every class, grade, or program can have its own upload link.
Yes, on the Business and Premium plans, which support up to 20 users. Access is set form by form, so each teacher sees and manages only the forms they have been given access to, and a teacher works with their own class's submissions without access to anyone else's. You can go further within a single form as well, giving someone access to its submissions without letting them change how the form is built. See Set form permissions.
Yes, on the Business and Premium plans. Form scheduling lets you set a date and time for a form to start accepting submissions and another for it to stop, so a form can open when an enrollment window or assignment period begins and close itself at the deadline without anyone remembering to turn it off. You can also have it close automatically once it reaches a set number of submissions. Anyone arriving outside that window sees a message explaining the form is not open rather than a broken page. See Schedule a form to open and close.
Yes, on every plan. Every form has its own submissions inbox, and each submission is dated and stored with the form responses that came with it alongside every file that was uploaded, including each file's name, type, and size. There is a single search box covering your whole account, so you can find a submission by a student's name or a file name without remembering which form it came through, and the whole record exports to CSV whenever you need it in a spreadsheet.
Yes, on the Business and Premium plans. Every form generates an embed code that works on any site accepting custom HTML, including WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, and Webflow, so families fill out the form on your own site instead of being sent somewhere else. On WordPress, note that the free, Personal, and Premium tiers of WordPress.com strip embed code, so you need a WordPress.com Business plan or a self-hosted site. The share link and QR code work on every plan.
Every plan, including Starter, connects all six upload destinations, including OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Google Drive, and Box, and forms are unlimited on all three. The features most schools rely on, like branded forms, a folder per student or class, file renaming, form scheduling, and per-teacher permissions, are part of the Business and Premium plans. All new accounts start on a 7-day Business trial, so you can try the full set before deciding. Current rates are on the pricing page.
Build one branded form, connect your Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or Box account, and send families a single link to upload everything you need.
